Ian Murdock

On Monday night the world in general, and the world of Open Source in particular have lost one of its most memorable individuals, Ian Murdock has died at the age of 42.

If you are a Linux user, you should have heard about him, he has created Debian in 1993. Debian is the most famous and more used Linux distribution if you consider all of distributions derived from it.

Debian is my favorite distribution, and it is for a lot of people too.

Ias was working since November for Docker one of the projects that was getting a lot of attention in the last years, it is unfortunate to know that he will not be able to colaborate with that and other projects.

My condolences to his family, and friends, we will mourn his passing for long time.
